A panel discussion for Lesbians to Watch Out For: ‘90s Queer L.A. Activism - hear the real stories & strategies from the activists who made the history!

Panelists include Liz Friedman (Queer Nation), Alice Y. Hom (API groups), Lisa Powell (ULOAH & BLU), Helene Schpak (ACT UP) and Anne-christine d'Adesky (Lesbian Avengers). Moderated by Professor Yetta Howard, San Diego State University, former Lesbian Avenger, Boston chapter.

What worked, what didn't, and what can we learn from then that can help us now - in the current Resistance? Lesbian and queer organizers from L.A. and WeHo street activist & community groups look back at '90s organizing - bringing their stories and insights to this panel. Plus an organizing perspective from a Lesbian Avengers co-founder.  Hear what advice & strategies these organizers would pass on to young queer activists now, and what they're learning from today's movers and shakers!
