Metropolitan Master Chorale presents Considering Matthew Shepard, an oratorio

  • Plummer Park’s Fiesta Hall 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard West Hollywood, CA, 90046 United States (map)

Matthew Shepard’s story is one that resonates today and the music will leave an indelible mark on your heart. While the story could be viewed through the lens of hatred, misunderstanding and divisiveness, this oratorio shimmers with the spirit of inclusiveness as it explores the light and darkness, loss and grace we all hold in common.  This music is explosive, rich in variety, and like all of the Metropolitan Master Chorale concerts, this is an experience that will not soon be forgotten because of the Chorale's musical skills and the Artistic Director's ability to bring the audience into every song.

The Metropolitan Master Chorale, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, was founded to present choral music in a variety of styles and genres.

This concert is supported by the City of West Hollywood's Arts Division and is part of the City's One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival (May 22 - June 30). The Metropolitan Master Chorale is also supported by City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.

Tickets: $5-$25,

Free Parking is available in both parking lots at Plummer Park. The south parking lot, accessible from Santa Monica Blvd. has a 3 hour time limit. The north parking lot with access from Fountain Ave. has no time restrictions.
